From Awagami Factory in Japan, this sample pack of printmaking washi paper is a perfect choice for artists who like to experiment. Suitable for linocut printing, etching, silkscreen, and many other techniques, Awagami Editioning Papers are designed for clean prints and long-term stability.
Each pack contains 20 sheets (2 each of 10 types) of washi paper in various natural colors, like white, buff, and cream. Each sheet has a label on the reverse so that you can tell which kind of paper is which.
The paper types included are Kitakata, Kitakata Green, Kitakata Select, Bunkoshi Select, Hosho Select, Okawara Select, Kozo Natural Select, Hakuho Select, Shiramine Select and Bamboo Select.
All these papers are acid-free; they range from thin 36 gsm to extra-thick 250 gsm. Originally developed for fine art printmaking many of these papers are fantastic for printmaking, drawing, painting, book arts, collage, crafts and photography.
